Ramadhan Tazkirah by Dr JSM Ali

Hari ni dapat balik midterm AC Structure. Ada sepuluh orang fail paper nih dari 23 orang dalam kelas. I am one of them (paling rendah kot dalam kelas.. isk). Tapi yang bestnya boleh pulak Dr Ali bagi nasihat kat dalam kelas. Selalu dia marah je kalau tak dapat jawab soalan dalam kelas.

'Failure is a good thing. For me, it is a good thing. It reminds us that we are not perfect. Sometimes if we pass, we are good at something, we have the feeling of 'we are very good' or 'we are good than him or her'. It is not good to have that feeling. A hadith mentions that if we have a feeling of takabbur (act of showing we are better than anyone else), even an atom of takabbur in our heart, then he or she will never go to Jannah. Thats what the hadith says. So if you fail, it actually reminds you, that you are not good at this or that. Makes you feel that you are weak. So dont feel shy if you dont know something. Go and see me, or anyone who is good or quite good in something that you dont know. Dont be shy if you dont know. Everyone is learning. Including me. '

'It is the same like Ramadhan. It is a test. It reminds you that you are weak. Thats the reason why Allah prescribed you to fast in Ramadhan. To remind you that you're weak. To remind you that Allah is strong. Just imagine if Allah takes your food for one whole day, nothing to eat for you, then its finished for you. So remember the hadith, that tells you to make use of 5 things before 5 things come. Make use of your health before sick comes to you. Make use of your youth before old comes. Make use of your wealth before you become poor. Make use of your free time, before Allah put you in a state where you dont have a time even to go to the toilet! And make use of your life time, before death comes to you.'


Dulu masa second year, aku dapat kosong (0, zero) untuk test Gas Dynamics. Rasa macam it is the end of the world dah. Down giler. Alhamdulillah lepas tu Allah beri aku peluang dan rezeki, score dalam final exam paper tu. Alhamdulillah aku pass. Kali ni aku dapat the second lowest mark ever I obtained in UIA after Gas Dynamics.

'Allah nak uji dalam bulan Ramadhan ni. Kuat sikit! Yang lepas tu, biar lah lepas, yang penting skang ni yang akan datang ni.. assignment, quiz and final kene score!'

Alhamdulillah Allah bagi peluang lagi sekali. Bagi peluang pada aku untuk sedar yang aku tak tau benda yang aku belajar dalam AC structure nih. Mudah-mudahan aku tak terlalu tersentak dengan result hari nih. Berusahalah! Berusahalah! Berusahalah! For there is always happiness after every hardship. Yang penting, usaha! InshaAllah...
