Golf Balls were Designed by an Aerospace Engineer
'Some students come to me and tell me that they dont know where to work after graduating from aerospace. So I tell them, golf balls were designed by aerospace engineer. Its true. The rough surface on the golf balls that can create early turbulence so that it can moves with low drag (friction) were proposed by an aerospace engineer because aerospace understands the air behavior. No people understands more about air than we, aerospace students. Then, car. Even automotive engineers need our help from aerospace to design their car, to have very low drag that can contribute to low fuel consumption. We (aerospace) deal with it. Train. The shape of the train designed by us. Everything that deals with the air, we can deal. No people understands more about air than aerospace engineer.'
Dr. Ashraf cakap kat kelas tadi. Sebelum ni dia ada cakap juga, tapi hari ni dia cite panjang lagi. Dia suka cite pasal benda-benda macam nih.
'Please go back to your structural mechanics and see what is happening..'
'Please go back to your MOM (mechanics of materials) and read it to refresh your understanding..'
'Please go back to your statics for the very basic principles..'
'What is neutral axis? Yaa? What is it?' *total silence* 'Please go back to your structural mechanics.. go back to your MOM.. to your statics.. this is (aircraft structure) the fourth course you learn about structure. You should know all of these simple things by now. I dont even have to repeat it for you.. so please go back and read!'.
Berbeza dengan kelas Dr Ali, selalunya kalau dia tanya soalan, mesti kelas senyap. Takde sorang pun jawab. Susahnya nak 'go back' nengok subjek-subjek tu balik. Isk. Nak go back kat sume subjek.. isk.
Nak kata takde mase, tak boleh, sebab mase ade je, contohnya sekarang ni, instead of menulis benda nih, baik aku bukak buku Hibbeler tu, baca pasal unsymetrical bending ke.. Hmm. So? Ape alasan? Malas. Kenape malas? Bila bukak buku Hibbeler tu, tak tau nak mula bace dari mane, nak bace dari awal banyak sangat (nak abeskan buku hibbeler tu pun kene 2 sem - MOM dengan structural mechanics). Bile da tatau nak bace ape, tutup buku, bukak video, denga lagu, tak pun baring, tidur. Hmm.
Ape nak buat?
Kena jugak buat. Baca. Tak tau, tanya orang. Orang tak tau, tanya lagi orang lain. Sedarlah, asas tu sangat penting.
'This is the basic thing. If you dont know this, 25 marks will be lost just like that'.
Usahalah Azimin!!! Usaha lagiiii!!!
Hmm..
Sama macam understanding of Islam. Pasal relation kita dengan Allah. Adakah segala apa yang kita buat tu, dapat membuatkan kita mengingati Dia? Mendekatkan diri dengan Dia? Kalau tanya soalan ni dekat orang yang asas tak kukuh, sure die jawab 'Ade kot.. kalau takde pun.. sikit-sikit buat la jugak..'. Asas kena ada. Cuba nak bina asas. Cuba nak bina asas untuk kawan-kawan lain jugak. Mudah-mudahan berjaya.
InshaAllah...
